What is the process for building permits?
You must acquire a building permit application from Drexel City Hall before any construction has started. The application must be filled out with a drawing attached the returned before the second Monday of the month in order for it to be reviewed by the Drexel City Council, at that time the council will approve or disapprove the application. You may call Drexel City Hall at 816-619-2323 for the decision and the cost, the following Tuesday. Cost is figured on the value of the construction.Return to top
Are Animal Tags Required and What Is The Cost?
All Dogs and Cats are required to be vaccinated prior to getting your animal tags. Animal tags are due each year by January 1 at the cost of $10.00 per animal. Four animals’ is the limit for each household. The City of Drexel also has a Leash Law, no animal may run at large, and must be on a leash or fenced in. The City of Drexel does not allow the following breeds of dogs: Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, and Rottweiler. Failure to register your animal can result in a fine under Ordinance # 361.Return to top
Where Do I Pay My Water Bill?
Payment must be made at Drexel City Hall no later than the 20th of each month. The lack of payment will result in water being shut off. The cost for re-connection will be $75.00 plus the balance owed. The Drexel City Hall does have a night deposit on the east side of the building for after hour’s payments.Return to top
